This museum is a destination and highly recommended. It’s spread out and will require a bit of effort to see it all, so taking a break at the cafe (as we did) is a good idea if you want to pause for a while. Picasso, Renoir, Van Gogh, Matisse, Eakins, John Singer Sargent are but a few-and I mean few- of the major artists represented here. Muse aims to combine a bar & restaurant with top painting instruction No art experience is required. I had previously seen color photographs of several of the eggs and picture frames but never did I expect to see them so close to home. Amazing to think many of these items were personally handled by Czar Nicholas II himself. Not only were there imperial eggs, but an extensive collection of Jewelry, picture frames, cigarette cases, cane handles and many other objects from Imperial Russia. I honestly thought the only way I was ever going to have a chance to see them was to visit Saint Petersburg, Russia (sadly, a very remote possibility now). The real surprise was the collection of Imperial Russia Faberge eggs: FIVE of them!!! They were completely unexpected and a total shock to see. I was mesmerized by a 1929 “Egyptian” Art Deco clock. The Art Deco collection is equally beautiful. We are very proud to bring our years of award-winning competitive knife and axe. We are open to the public for team building events, parties and private lessons, and for people who just want to learn the art of axe and sport knife throwing. We were there on a Sunday and the museum was surprisingly uncrowded, so we were able to browse the collection at a leisurely pace. The Virginia Axe Company is a Recreational Axe and Knife Throwing Venue located in Richmond, Virginia. Many were they whose cities he saw, whose minds he learned of, many the pains he suffered on his spirit on the wide sea, struggling for his own life and the homecoming of his companions. Amazing designs of dragon flies, peacocks, autumn leaves, fish wisteria….and on and on. Tell me, Muse, of the man of many ways, who was driven far journeys, after he had sacked Troy’s secret citadel. The Tiffany lamp collection was off-the-charts. The Grand Piano is a show stopper in and of itself. If you are a lover of Art Nouveau objects, this museum is a must. We started with the superb Art Nouveau collection which is rivaled (in my opinion) only by the Musée de l'École de Nancy. OMG….Where to begin…First off, set aside plenty of time-a minimum of four hours, and don’t be surprised if it turns into a whole day.
